Apartment 22 is the perfect self catering holiday venue. Fantastic location, beautiful beaches, wonderful countryside, great restaurants and lots of interesting places to visit. There is so much right on your doorstep, including Bigbury-on-Sea's big and splendid sandy beach only 20 yards from the apartment and the excellent leisure facilities and restaurant/bar which are attached to the complex with free membership for guests.

This is a magical place and the views from the apartment take full advantage of this both from the large windows and the balcony. The views to Burgh Island and over the sea to the south and west are outstanding and low tide uncovers a vast expanse of smooth washed yellow sand reaching to the Island. There are never two days the same. The beach, tides and light are always changing and the sunsets can be amazing.

The causeway closes twice a day at high tide with the water coming in from both sides of the island and meeting in the middle of the beach in front of the apartment. Watching the water gradually join and cover the beach is compelling and always attracts onlookers. Many of whom paddle in the sea where it meets.

When the causeway is shut there is an unusual Sea Tractor that crosses to Burgh Island. Always fun to see or even better to travel on.

As well as the very beautiful stretch of South Devon coastline the apartment is surrounded by rolling countryside, the area being designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
